Pool Rebel IS AWSOME

I just bought this game and I can say that this is a very very good pool game I have to say thou it would be nice to see this game have a practice mode, and even a snooker mode for trick shots It would also would be nice to see a zooming feature so you can see closer to the pool table and maybe an online feature for future updates!!! I know some are going to say the price isnt worth it but i think its worth it its good to know that someone took alot of time and effort to make a very very good game I also would like to see a volume options because the sound is low and maybe music in the background Basically I want it to be better than all other pool apps because the only pool app that in my opinion is very good is midnight pool because you can pretty much do everything!!! but other then that VERY COOL GAME!!!

A real simulator

I dont like the pool game this much to be addicted to this app but boy, how beautiful it is. You can control every little thing of your shoot. Even though I deleted it, this game really deserves its 5 stars.

Nice

Very nice

Need some tweaks but its a good game!

(29Nov08) - The update introduced a new way to fine adjust aiming (a pad) which made the process really faster for me because now you can simply tap. One more star for the new and welcome improvements. I still hope to see bigger balls tho its kind of suggestion that requires a lot of code changes I presume. First review: After starting the game for the first time it was clear that this port, from other mobile phones, did not took advantage or considered the touch screen interface because menus items are glued together. However, I did not have any problems with it yet. There are some nice options and the Player statistics lead me to the blind purchase, I mean buying without trying it first. As soon as the pool table is presented one thing popped into my mind: why they didnt try to make the table as big as the screen making the balls as big as possible?? The balls look small and an Info button is necessary to revel their numbers from time to time. The graphics are nice. To aim took more time that Id like. After I run the tutorial Ive found a way to fine aim using accelerometer. You have to keep pressing a button (G-aim) and move the iPhone. It could be a two state button: press aim then press again to stop g-aim feature. But what I dont understand is why not let those arrows that are displayed when youre aiming make the fine adjustment and let the other areas for huge steps. Itd be a lot easier, more natural. The arrow is a great idea because it proves that the game could use a bigger table and make the controls to be displayed on demand. The fact is that you cant simply tap in order to fine adjust. However, the aiming set here is complete: power, angle and so on. Well, then the first shot. You have to press Shoot button which is fine. Since the aiming can be a lot of hold the cue and drag it around the Shoot button is kind of necessary here. The sound is nice. After shot the balls move, move and it seems that they are moving too much. This is a simulation and maybe Im using too much power and I didnt get the right game timing yet. But I always have a feeling that the balls should not move that much. To make things worse theres no way to accelerate the shoot... You have to wait and sometimes wait, wait until all balls finally stop. Even tho all those "not so good" points I kind of like the game. Ill keep playing it for sure. Considering the price and the port feeling that the game delivers Id rate it 3/5 but with a positive hope that some adjustments can appear to make it a 5/5 game.

1st reviewer is dead on in his review

I couldnt have put it better.

I really love this

I think the physics of this game are really excellent, and I really appreciate the fine control over your shot. Lots of gameplay modes, and the save game feature rocks! I think top-down view is better than most of the 3D implementations out there as the balls appear nice and smooth while most of the 3D versions have jagged looking balls when they are in the far side of the table. Overall, this is great, IMO.

TERRIFIC GRAPHICS, but...

Great layout, well thought out game play! Needs major rewrite because of slow response and table physics (ball rolls forever). Top down view works fine. Overall, an interesting effort. Look forward to an update. 2nd REVIEW: Ive been playing 14.1, in easy mode, and my opinion rating went from 2 stars to 4 stars. There are 16 micro pages of rules for 14.1. Thats how complete this app is written. My initial impression was reported too quickly! WISH LIST: 1) More accurate ball roll (less rollout). 2) The addition of throw. 3) More accurately sized side pockets.

A great pool game

I have many of the pool games on the app store, and Pool Rebel is probably my favorite! Alot of people have complained (at least about the other games) that they dont like the top-down view. I, for one, prefer this view because even though the table is smaller, everything is shown, also making it easier to manuever the cue stick. Combine this with the added features, and the excellent graphics, and you end up with a five star game!!!! Especially for 5 bucks!

Excellent pool simulator

This is for those that want to control EVERYTHING. More simish than arcade is. Very good quality with a very high polish. Table is slightly on the small side due the plethora of shooting controls that you have at your disposal. You can make the ball dance if you want to. Theres a game save option, but if you exit it will auto restart to your game. Your saved game can be loaded when ever you like from the menu. Sounds are realistic, ipod music fades out upon game start hopefully an update is coming because I have never been in a quiet bar. The CPU skill can be changed to suite your skill. There are two methods of controls, the standard way using the controls on the side or by the easier "joypad" method which gives you arrows to tap. I like it and especially like the ability to control everything. Will be a challenge to beat the CPU on 9 ball in a single run. I wouldnt think twice if your a billiards fan. A few things... - iPod music is a must. - Play opponent via WIFI even more of a must. - Maybe an option to clr the screen from controls or have the controls auto hide to the right.

WOW!!! the best pool game ever!

What can I say - just so realistic and well done. Thank you for your wonderful work! Ill play this game over and over again.

Tedious

This not a simple or quick game. Very tedious. Fine aiming is difficult.

Best real pool simulator

You can get the kiddie pool games or get this for a great pool experience. When a game talks about masse, you know its value.

Awesome

I am sure that this is the first app to have both 14.1 and One Pocket thats great. Yet I wish that Snooker were added to this, I know its not pool but it is a famous cue sport. One thing also is the cue is way to touchy, I try to move it slowly and it jumps across the ball.

Great game

I was looking for a pool game like this one for the Iphone and I found one. Only thing is that one day I tried to play and it was in evaluation mode and I cant play. Im waiting for the update. Until then I cant play the app that I purchased. Kind of stinks!!!

Does Not Work With IPhone 4

All I get is a white screen!
